Matt is a true professional! He was a life saver, I recently adopted a Pit Bull and she was the sweetest dog ever until she bit another dog. She was very excitable on the leash with other dogs and made waking her in my neighborhood unpleasant. Matt came out and met with us to discussed options. We decided that a two-week boot camp would be the best thing for her and a few follow ups to make sure I could keep up with her training. Matt did an excellent job with getting her impulse control managed and Matt was able to explain to me in detail about his training methods so that I can continue with them. I highly recommend him whether you are looking for basic obedience or if you have behavioral issues like we did.

Your furry child is in great hands with Matt at Steadfast K9. Our 1 year old Cattle Dog mix Yogi was very nervous and became increasingly more fear-aggressive and reactive towards strangers and children. I was at a complete loss, but after a 3 week bootcamp with Matt he has shown amazing progress. Matt was patient, responsive and honest about our dog and his issues. There is a lot of work to be done, but there has been significant improvement in the fear & anxiety since he has been home, and Matt has shown that our dog is capable of being a completely well-adjusted, happy pup. He really is a dog whisperer! We continue to work with Yogi on his behavior but Matt has been critical in helping him overcome his fear, and teaching us how to help him so he can be happy and safe. Matt's training has been a miracle for our our 1 1/2 year old pit bull rescue, Whipple. He had difficulty pulling on the leash, jumping up and biting the leash, and lunging and barking at any dog passing. It was incredibly difficult and stressful to walk and run him. This was a serious problem for a 60 pound puppy pit bull who needs lots of exercise! He rarely listened to commands, chewed up our things, and was too rough when playing with us. After two weeks with Matt at doggie boot camp, almost all of this had changed. Matts training techniques were exactly what Whipple needed to show him how to listen and follow. Now when we walk him, he stays by our side with a loose leash. If he gets excited and starts to break the heel, I give him a quick redirection and he responds. We are still working on passing dogs, and even though he still pulls towards them at times, he doesn't bark and go crazy. Matt continues to work with us on training to work on Whipple's reactivity to other dogs. Matt has been so patient with Whipple and has helped me so much in learning how to handle my dog. The result is I feel confident in giving my dog commands and I enjoy exercising him. He was a good dog before but now he's an exceptional pet. We are so grateful for Matts help
